An Indian-American guy surprises his family when he announces his desire for an arranged marriage with an Indian woman, though his affection for a longtime American friend complicates his plan.

While much of of the indie romantic comedy When Harry Tries to Marry takes place in New York, the filmmakers were smart to bring their divided, titular protagonist (Harry can't decide whether to stick with his arranged marriage or follow his heart with a girl in the city) to the stunning backdrop of India.
